Sorry it looks like those lights haven't been set up yet

So my Hue lights have been set up for minimum of a year.  Maybe longer.  Just recently I get the error “Sorry it looks like those lights haven't been set up yet. You can set them up in the Google Assistant under settings.”  I can’t turn them on by voice because they’re not found.  I can turn them on/off within the google home app.  I can turn them off by voice and sometimes it will let me turn them on without the error.  My home wifi network is the same.  Nothing has changed with my network.  It seems with the Fuschia roll out there’s been delays with voice commands.  But my main issue is trying to turn on the lights.  It’s quite annoying. So the lights that I’m having issues with are the two lights at my kitchen island.  I also have 8 other kitchen lights.  I rarely have all the kitchen lights on.  I just use the island lights because they’re more than enough for most of what I do.  I just told google to turn on the kitchen and ALL 10 lights came on (that includes the 2 island lights).  Then when I told google to turn off the kitchen all lights but the 2 island lights turned off.  Like I said, this just started happening maybe a few days ago.  I saw another post on this but there never was a fix.

I see this intermittently with my devices. Repeating the command typically works as desired. This is different than when it misunderstood the device name. Sometimes it can't understand my commands even when I repeat it numerous times. Fortunately this isn't the typical experience but it does happen.

So I came downstairs this morning and said “hey google turn on island” and of course I got the same message.  This time I asked google how to fix it and I went back in and RE-added Hue to the google home (for the umpteenth time) and now it’s working.   I have done this before a few times and it didn’t make a difference. (When I opened to re-add Hue it was already added)  Now it works fine. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ So the problem is resolved for now (and hopefully for good). As for telling Google numerous times to turn on/off devices that’s the norm now since Fuschia.  It’s frustrating because the reason I use google now was because I used to have Alexa and it would screw up things all the time.  Now Google is doing the same. It seems to be all across google devices.  My Pixel has issues w/ slow to respond and hearing the wrong words constantly when using speech to text.

So I was mistaken.  The problem is not fixed.  After I ask Google to turn the light on later it does the same thing but is fixed if I re-add hue permission again. Note: permission is already granted in the Google home app. Can someone please help me w/ this issue.

Same exact issue. About to return all the Google homes I just purchased. It's a hot mess.  Works in app. Can't link them with voice assistant. Says lights rent set up but they are clearly linked in home. Saw instructions somewhere else to go to factory reset and uninstall everything. I havemkike 40 devices and it's all set up in home. I will move to alexa if not resolved.

There seemed to be a glitch in the matrix, Neo. It has "magically" fixed itself. As for Alexa, that's the reason I switched to Google. It was slow & a hot mess too! That was almost or a little over 2yrs ago. I moved my Amazon echo+ to my garage for music & even that can't get it right most of the time. It also is the ONLY device that just drops off wifi at least once a month (normally multiple times) so I have to play around with it like I did yesterday for 15 mins. I could be wrong, but with all the Google/Amazon layoffs maybe these were the depts they laid off a lot of people. 🤷🏼‍♂️♂️ I hope you can get your stuff working again. Try rebooting your modem & router for 20 secs. I'll do anything before I go through the nightmare of resetting a while system of 40+ bulbs etc. Especially ones that have worked perfectly fine for years with no change in network & just randomly stop doing what they've been with the basic commands that have been used for years. I'm going to eventually upgrade all my smart lights to smart switches & let Google only listen to me via my phone. 🤣

Got same issue . Only voice is a problem

It glitches out once in a while but it just fixed itself after over a month or so of the annoying "Those lights aren't set up yet." They have been set up for years actually.  So 🤷🏻
