Spotify premium not conecting to google home

Hi

My google home device doesn't recognise my premium spotify account.

 As the photo shows the premium account is linked but everytime I ask google home to play a specific song it says that function is only available with premium accounts and then suggests a play list for me.

 

I have tried deleted home and spotify apps from phone and starting from scratch. Also a shutdown and restart of both devices. Still encountering the same problem.

 

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

When did it start happening? Also, is it working when playing on your other devices?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  • Unlink your Spotify account in your Google Home app.
  • Sign out from your Spotify app and sign back in.
  • Reset your Google Home to its default settings and link your Spotify account.
