Stop Google home from grouping lights.

In my living room, I have a light on ceiling but also a lamp in the corner.  I used to be able to control them separately, but now when I say "turn on the lamp in the living room" it turns on both lights... Truly annoying.

Hey tcobb,

Thanks for reaching out.

If your lights are under the same room, they will all turn on if you mention the room where they are assigned. You can set a nickname for your lights or assigned them to a different room so that they can be separated. We're always looking for ways to improve, visit this link for additional information.

Best,

Alex

That's not an actual solution.  I'm guessing that there is none an we will just have use imaginary rooms...
