Tado App vs. Google Home app

Hi,

I am trying to figure out the differences in features when using the Google Home app on Tado thermostats?

I was wondering if anyone has some experience with using third party apps for Tado smart thermostats? What features that you can do on these third party apps overlap with the Tado app and what features can you exclusivly do on the Tado app for Tado thermostats?

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand you're trying to figure out the differences in features when controlling your Tado thermostats through the Google Home app compared to what you can do directly within the Tado app itself. I'll be glad to help you with this!

Here are some adjustments you can do using the Google Home app: 

  • Turn your Tado devices on or off in one or multiple rooms.
  • Use your Google Assistant for the current temperature in any room with a Tado heating device.
  • Use your Google Assistant for the humidity level in any room with a Tado heating device.
  • Adjust the temperature in any room with a Tado heating device.
  • Adjust the hot water setting.
  • Select Cool/Heat mode.

You can perform those actions using either the Google Assistant or manually. Regarding your inquiry about exclusive features of the Tado app for Tado thermostats, I recommend contacting Tado support for further details.
