Using Google to activate Hue Light Scenes fails on new Hue Downlights.

Hello -

Using a Google Nest Max (and other Google devices).  I have just installed 4 new hue downlights.  They work great.  I can use "Hey Google" to turn them on/off, dim, change colors on the lights, but when I try to activate a hue scene on the new lights I get the message "Sorry i couldn't reach philips hue" or "Philips hue is not available right now".   I can change scenes manually with the hue app and everything works great.     I have other hue lights in rooms and groups and they all work fine with the scenes.  All lights are up-to-date per the hue app.    As a test, I also set them up in the Alexa app and the scenes work fine for the new lights.   I am a bit perplexed at this point as to why Google won't  activate a scene on the new lights.

Thanks!

Hi Mofingus,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

I know how it feels when something isn’t working as it should, so let’s get this resolved. Are you getting the same message when you try your phone’s Google assistant? You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest speakers/ displays for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Juni
