I am facing a recurring issue with my Google Home routines involving Matter-enabled Tapo devices connected through the Tapo Hub. Each day, I receive a notification in the Google Home app indicating that a new device has been added. However, devices like temperature sensors and door sensors, which were previously added to Google Home and used as routine starters, are being removed automatically. As a result, it will be 0 starters in the routines, I have to re-add them daily. This issue has persisted for the past 3–4 weeks.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience that you’ve been experiencing with your Tapo devices in the Google Home app. I can see that they are constantly unlinking from the app by themselves, and this will affect your automations because the starters are those devices where you are having this behavior. Then you need to set them up again in the app. No worries, help is here.
As a basic troubleshooting step, I will suggest you uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app and the Tapo app to verify that you are using the latest version of both apps. If the issue persists, you will need to contact Tapo to check the compatibility.
