Where can I find the Family Bell so I can disable them?

Guava456

I had used the Family Bell functionality to remind my family of chores and random stuff. Since the Google Home upgrade I cannot get into Family Bell. Is there a way to disable the existing Family Bell alerts?

Open the Home app and then tap the Settings tab.  On the Settings menu, select Google Assistant. On the Google Assistant menu, select Manage all Assistant settings. On the next menu, scroll down and you will see the Family Bell option listed between Face Match and Food Preferences.

I don't need further assistance.

Family Bell option is not between face match and food preferences.  They are side by side

Hello,

Apologies. I misunderstood what you’ve previously mentioned. Let’s further look into it. What country are you in? What’s the make and model of your phone? Try to uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app, then check again for Family Bell.

Warmly,
Alex

Since you’re either laid off or have abandoned this discussion, here is the REAL fix, y’all.

Turning them off via the webview of Assistant settings finally solved it for me: https://assistant.google.com/settings/bellschedule

Same. There is no Family Bell option. It is summertime and we have to listen to all of our get ready for school bells everymorninhvstarting at 6:15 AM. Should we just switch to Alexa so my children and I can sleep this summer?!

It seems like the menu has changed again. I can’t find family bell using these instructions. Google needs to make it easier to find these family bells.

They’ve removed the feature! But didn’t delete our bells, it’s beyond nuts…

Following… having the same issue

Please can you help or direct to the best place. There are several new comments on this thread which are coming about because the family bell has been disabled but people still have them set and now cannot edit them or delete them. We're stuck with announcements being made which are no longer necessary. In some cases this could be exceptionally distressing for people (e.g. if the family bell was care related). I question the decision making behind leaving people unable to edit bells, we need help!

Yes.  I had school

wale up alarms for kids but now it’s summer and I can’t turn them off!!   Please help us Google!

I had an old Google Pixel 4, fired it up and the family bell screen was there showing up, so it’s just an iOS issue. So I was able to delete them all... but that was just me on my account yesterday. The way Google operates, clearly mileage may vary.

Can you please check the latest comments in the thread? Thanks!

Hi! I need help because although I found family bill on the app, it doesn’t let me do anything. According to my Google Home family Bell has been disabled, which might be the reason why. But I have two very loud alarms that I need to silence permanently that I can’t seem to silence because it was disabled without disabling the actual alerts on individuals devices, How am I ever cancel This if it’s not available but they keep going off.?

I found the option but nothing is loaded after clicking the family bells. Help please!

this leads to a blank screen for me. i've tried restarting my phone and deleting and reinstalling the app. i get a blank screen everytime.

I actually JUST found the webview via a reddit post. Exactly what I needed. I don't understand why google tech support didn't tell me about this. https://assistant.google.com/settings/bellschedule

This finally worked !  Got the bells to turn off for the summer !

Yep, that was me on Reddit. 😄

Thank you!!!! Mine was driving me crazy!!!!!

thank goodness for this post! I keep forgetting how to find Family Bell and getting so angry every time the bell i set a couple years ago went off and I had no idea how to disable (especially since it was supposed to go off every week but for some reason would skip a week...?). I also just found out Family bell is being disabled as a feature - makes sense because it clearly didn't work well (skipping randomly) and they never made it easy to access via the Google Home app. Thank you!

Good afternoon! That's a thoughtful gift for your husband. Unfortunately, the BBC Good Food app currently isn't compatible with most smart TVs, so directly connecting his phone app to the TV likely won't work.

Family bell is no longer available via home app. Was moved to google assistant setting family bell.  But now the title family bell is still there but it opens up a blank screen
