Why can't a Nest Thermostat use a Nest Hub temperature sensor as a sensor?

Turns out if I want to prioritize a room in a house to control the Nest Thermostat, only way to do that is to get a Nest Temperature Sensor. Funnily, I got two Nest Hubs which have both temperature and humidity sensors. But there's no way to use them when setting a temperature.

If google really is planning to integrate Nest into Google Home ecosystem, I think it's time to prioritize maximizing use of the existing hardware to their full potential.

Hi there,

The Nest hub 2nd Gen has a temperature sensor but this is only currently used with the sleep sense feature.

I am following this thread. Why not use that sensor as a room temperature sensor?
