Help with WiFi.

is there not an easier way to connect multiple devices to a new WiFi network if they are already in your app?

I recently changed my internet provider and therefore, a new wifi set up was installed. I really don’t want to go through the process of resetting all of my hubs, the minis, a camera, plugs, and most annoyingly, the lights.

Not having an easier way to connect the devices at once with a new wifi network makes me to throw it all away and never add to my smart home with google products again.

Google Nest simply does not make it easy. This forum has MANY posts from customers trying to update Wi-Fi settings.

Their recommendation is, if possible, to set the network name (SSID) and password on your new router/modem to the same values used on your old router/modem. When we got a new router/modem a year ago, that's what we did, and we didn't have to update any of our devices. But we weren't changing internet providers, either, just upgrading to a newer router/modem.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that it would be a lot of work to do. Unfortunately, you really have to reset the device for you to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network. We’re always looking for ways to improve. Be assured that we're taking note of your feedback

I appreciate your input, @MplsCustomer.

Best,

Jenelyn
