Wired indoor Nest Cam 2nd gen not connecting to network

    I have a new, out-of-the-box, 2nd generation indoor wired cam. After plugging the cam in, the light on the face of the camera goes off after 10 seconds. I have not been able to have it powered up long enough to connect to our home network. We have a 650 mbps fiber optic network, and use the latest Google WiFi Pro router. All devices are on the same wi-fi.  Also, we have a new "smoke & CO alarm" with the same issue. Any ideas on how I can get everything connected? Many thx in advance!

@paul4ut

What color is your status light when you first plug it in? Have you tried a different outlet? Is the USB cable plugged securely into the adapter?

It's pretty odd for 2 new Google Nest devices to not power up.
