colour change option missing from Tuya based lights

colour options for my Tuya based lights disappeared yesterday with Mutiple report in r/googlehome, is anyone else having this issue?

The same has happened to me with my TuyaSmart lights (4) and one Vocolonc light. The color option was gone briefly a day or two ago, and tonight gone from Google Home on both my Android devices.

A couple of people above have posted the same today. Something's obviously wrong with the app. Hopefully Google sees these posts and issues a fix.

As of late last night, colors did not show up. Does Google monitor this forum? If so, hopefully they're dealing with it. If not, our best bet might be to write to the companies that sell the light bulbs and let them know about the situation. Feedback from them is probably better than feedback from us on Google.

Same for me, tuya bulbs without color on Google Home.

(For this lamps colours are working with Alexa)

Colour options have disappeared from all my bulb options on the app connected with Smart Life and they won't come back no matter what I do.  What has happened Google?

I contacted Google support and they were aware of the issue and were putting out a fix. I’ve just opened my Home app and the option has now been restored. Quickly fixed I suppose

Thanks! The option isn't back in my Google Home yet. Maybe my tablet needs to update the app. Thanks for contacting Google!

Yeah give it 24-48hrs and saying “Hey Google, sync my devices” on either the app or your Nest might do the trick!

This may sound paranoid, but I have voice disabled on all my devices. I link them manually—I'll try it again and relink them tonight. Thanks!

Just tried “sync my devices” from the app and it’s all been restored. Amazing!

My color (or colour for my British friends) option has returned!

It works: 2 times "sync devices" and some hours fix the problem.

@ScottCal, awesome - glad that worked. Feel free to reach out again should you have more questions/suggestions - we are here for you.

 

@Aprgradtwothree, thanks for the response. In your case only one room is not working in one room only. There is a possibility that the issue is just in that light. You can try to switch it to other lights in another room, then observe if this will make a difference. IF that did not happen, you can do a full reset on the light and set it up again.
