Ive got an away automation that was set up some time ago. this turns off devices in the house.

I can not delete or disable this in the web view or via the app. How can i remove this as its not causing a significant issue.

If you created it in Google Script Editor, then click on the script as if you were going to edit it. There should be a trash can in the upper right of the page. If you created it using the Google Home app on an android phone, edit it there and you should still see a trash can in the upper right.

If the Google Script Editor does not allow you to delete it, that means the script was created in the Google Home app or is a built in script that cannot be deleted.  Look in the automations section of the Google Home app and touch one of the automations as if you were going to edit it.  You'll see a toggle button to activate/deactivate the automation.  If it can be deleted, look for a trash can and the top.
