google home no longer working with lights

I have an XMCOSY+ floor lamp that worked with my google home for about a week and suddenly stopped working.  I can see it in the app and control it in the XMCOSY+ app, but the Home app insists it's disconnected.  Tried removing and re-adding the link and that did not help.

Possibly related.  I have a harmony hub that I use to control my television.  I have two activities, watch TV, which simply turns the TV on and specifies the primary Input I use and Game which turns the TV on and sets the input to my Nintendo Switch.  For the longest time I've been able to say turn on tv and turn off TV and it's worked fine.  Now its saying it doesn't know which TV to turn on/off as if I have more than one.  The only workaround I have found to work is giving the watch TV routine  another name and tell it to turn on/off that routine name.

Hey pcguru30,

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should, let’s get this resolved!

Were there any recent changes or updates on your router or devices? Are you getting any message when controlling it using your Google Home speaker. Have you tried reinstalling your apps to make sure it's up to date?

Give these steps a try:

  1. Make sure your devices are connected to the same network.
  2. Reboot your devices and router to refresh the connection.
  3. If possible, try removing your device on their native app before reinstalling your app.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Alex
