google nest hub 2nd gen

Hi, I bought a google nest hub for my mom and she could never get it going, some clown on amazon sold me a store display...is there anything i can do with it? it wont connect to home and there is a port on the bottom of the unit that i have no idea what to do with either...it runs and displays like a normal unit but im stumped

What is a "store display" ?

it looks and acts like a normal - factory reset does not work

Hi Alex, no it wont factory reset at all..the screen looks great and everything looks like mine but it does not hook or find on my google home app. so its just a dummy sitting there looking pretty

Hello mhanson,

 

Oh no! I see what you mean; this is a demo device. The only way you can factory reset and set it up on your account is if the store that sold them will unlock it from demo mode. I suggest that you contact Amazon’s customer service to see what they can do to help you return the device to the seller.

ok..i figured it would be something like that..problem is, my amazon account was closed and is no more on that one., Amazon made me open a whole new account ..but ill give it a try...
