how do I prevent chromecast from "falling asleep" when playing music ?

I've got a new chromecast (with googleTV )  plugged into a tv at work,  the hope was that we could play online radio with a customized slideshow of photos.

playing free iheartmusic radio stations, that transitions to my customized ambient screen, but it bluescreens every 20-30 mins. the tv isn't falling asleep ( I get a blue "no device connected" screen every 30min ) and I've set the TV to stay on.  but I wonder if this is a setting in the Chromecast that I can change ?

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: Does it happen to iHeart radio stations only? Is your Chromecast plugged into the power outlet or from a USB port at the back of your TV? What steps have you tried so far?

You can reboot your Chromecast and your TV to refresh both devices. You can also try to switch the HDMI port and observe if it will make a difference.
