recently I started getting messages every evening about adjusting my lights routine

This looks like the introduction of a bug that needs fixing.  I don't need a daily reminder I can adjust my automation routine.

You could turn off Home notifications.

Then all notifications would stop...this suddenly came from Google Assistant.  I can't understand why every solution has me doing something rather than Google investigating the bug someone introduced. Why in the world would anyone need a daily reminder to update my automation routine???

Hello @Mytamurphy,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that you are receiving these daily notifications about your lights routine. It's completely understandable how frustrating it is to receive a notification you don't need, and I'm here to help you get to the bottom of this.

To help me better understand and isolate the issue, could you please provide a screenshot of the full routine configuration for your lights?

In addition, kindly answer the following questions:

  • Are there other home members in your home structure?
  • Have any other routines been created recently?

I look forward to your response so we can work together to find a solution.

Regards,

Kevin

I've had this routine setup for years. I have no other people in my home or share this account. No new routines.

The only recent change is getting a new phone to replace the pixel 8 pro I had that the glass back all cracked. What a stupid idea. This useless notification come from Google Assistant, even though all notifications are turned off for assistant. I can't for the life of me understand why a google engineer just look for the problem and fix it. Why all the runaround just to make people frustrated and give up and buy an iPhone.

Hello @Mytamurphy,

Thank you for the detailed answers. The fact that the routine has been set up for years and the issue started after you got a new phone is a very important detail. It suggests that the problem may be tied to how the routine is syncing or interacting with your new device.

To help us better understand and isolate the issue, could you please provide a screenshot of the full routine configuration for your lights? If you are able to share it directly in the thread, that would be very helpful.

We are confident that seeing the routine setup itself will help us determine why it's behaving this way.

I look forward to your response so we can continue to work on a solution together.

Regards,

Kevin

This is a waste of my time. There are 12 lights controlled in this routine that cannot be displayed in any screenshot.  I'll wait for Google it fix their bug.
