Can’t download a video

I cannot download a video. I do not have a download option or save to device option. I’ve followed all the instructions I can find on this site and gotten nowhere. Please help!

The instructions on the Google Nest Help topic below have been updated for the new version of the Google Home app.

The instructions work for us on both our newer cameras in the Google Home app and on our older cameras in the Google Nest app.

Hi everyone, 

 

@Admc29, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. How's it going? Were you able to follow the steps from the link shared above? In case you're going to download your clips in the Google Home app you may follow the steps below:

 

To create and download a video clip:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices .
  3. Select your camera.
  4. Scroll to an event in your camera’s video history timeline. You can also tap Event history Event history button for a list of events.
  5. Choose the event you want, then tap Controls Menu.
  6. Tap Save clip to save the video clip to your phone. From there, you can share the video clip via email or other apps.
