Can’t login to my nest account

Need help with an old nest thermostat as I can’t login to nest account as my password is not longer recognized and nest won’t let me change it, so I can’t migrate and can longer use the thermostat

Are you absolutely sure you are using the same email account you were previously using to log into the Google Nest app? If you are inadvertently trying to log in with the wrong email account (username), that would explain why your password is not working as well as why you're not receiving a password reset email.

If that doesn't explain your situation, you could try contacting Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

I have the exact same problem and none of the solutions have worked. I hate that Google combines their services with existing products. It has messed my accounts up every time.

In addition, the Nest app doesn't even allow me to switch out my Google emails to use the correct account for migration, yet it logs me in to Nest website via Android's Chrome browser to install halfway (until it needs me to open Nest app)...

Have you tried to choose the option to sign in with Google? If not, please select it and continue using the current account that you use on the Nest app, or select Use another account if you have an existing one that's not listed and continue with the process.
