I just bought some new Nest outdoor cameras to replace old ones which seem to have stopped working. I really like the quality of the image on the new cameras. Great job Google!
However, I am primarily a PC user and I don't always have my phone on my hip to view the recorded video from my plethora of cameras. I really need the return of the nest.google.com UI interface. Something which can maximize my screen space and allow me to fairly easily review recorded events. I know the new home.google.com UI is the only way I can view my new cameras, but it apparently, after all this time, is not ready for replaying recorded video.
In the past, I switched my camera system over to Google because of the quality and the ease of viewing. I know a lot of programming work happens in the background to keep things updated and provide features. In my opinion though, we are stepping back in functionality and ease, to bring in a UI which although looks simple, is actually rather crappy.
For your older audience (such as me who's paid Google a lot of money for services over the years), please allow your "older" UI to continue to function. The code is already written. Just allow the new feeds to be used on the old stuff as well. Newer is NOT always better. My eyes cannot function well on the small screens of mobile devices today.
Are you listening?
Thank you!
