Nest aware Faces

Joseduddy
Community Member

Inside may nest Faces, I have deleted all bad pictures of myself. I have saved the best of the group. Now the remaining faces are all spread out by " Date "

(#1) I would like to group them all together." With an  option to remove them from Tuesday 24th up to the top of the list. No Date Stamp.

(#2) I would like the option to " Hold my finger on the Photo and move it's position" Then I will be able to put the best pictures first.

Thanks in advance

Jose D.

Hi Joseduddy,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry that you're unable to remove the bad pictures from the familiar face detection option. Let's work together to find a solution.

I just want to confirm: did you try to remove it from the Nest or Google Home app? If you didn't, here are the steps:

In the Google Home app:

  1. On the home screen, tap Settings.
  2. Select Nest Aware.
  3. Tap Familiar face detection
  4. Start edit mode (2 different ways):

    • Tap Edit, then select the faces the customer wants to merge.
    • To select the first face in edit mode, perform a long press on the chosen face on the screen. Then, tap the other face the customer wants to merge. Both faces get selected.
  5. Tap Delete. This action deletes the person from the familiar face library and removes the snapshots used to help the camera recognize the person.

In the Nest app:

  • On the home screen, tap Settings.
  • Select familiar faces, then do one of the following:
  • To delete a person, tap on their face, and then tap Forget this face, then Remove when a prompt shows to confirm the deletion. The camera stops the recognition of the face as someone you know. It also removes them from Nest’s face recognition algorithms and deletes any camera snapshots used for identification.

Also, we're always looking for improvements. Please share your experiences and thoughts and submit them to the feedback form so it can address this concern better in future updates.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Byron
