New face is recognized as a wrong person every time - can't un-merge to fix

My mother is always marked as me and there is no way to un-merge her as a separate familiar face. We do share some similarity in some of our facial features, but we are clearly not twins, have completely different hair and height, and an obvious 35 age difference. It is incredibly frustrating and makes the facial recognition quite useless in this instance. I need her marked as herself or as a stranger. Removing her images from my profile does not help at all. As soon as she is on camera I am notified it is me, every single time.

This is such a ridiculous issue that it blows my mind there is no way to fix it. Please make it possible to un-merge familiar faces! I can't believe this is not an option.

Note, I pay for Nest Aware Plus. Coupled with other issues misidentifying people and missing clear events from history (so I can't download them), this basic issue is making me look at selling the camera and trying some alternatives.

If you go to the face management you can find all the faces you've named and then you go into that and find all pictures and remove any that are marked wrong.

Do you have one entry for you and one for your mom?
