No QR Code and No Setup Code

 Resetting device due to WiFi change. I don't have an 8 digit code or QR code on the device and I do not have the original box. Please advise.

Hi Brad, we turned it on and off and it has reset to the original language (Spanish) so I'm afraid we dont understand Spanish and we are completely stuck

Hey folks,

 

I am not quite sure how you do not have the QR code. It is on the back of each device. You should also be able to find it on the original packaging. If you continue to have the issue, Factory Reset your device, and try again. Of course, because you are Factory Resetting the device it will essentially be a new device again. Please be aware of that. But let me know if that works for ya'll or even if it doesn't, as I can further assist you.

I no longer have the original packaging, and having taken the device apart, looked at it from all angles, there is no QR code or serial number anywhere to be found.

Thanks for the follow up. But I checked the back, different angle of the device. There is no QR code. And the six digital code is only available when it is deregistered to primary user. My problem is how do I register the device to my family member. The problem is still existed.

It may be on the inside of the mounting unit, but every single Camera and Doorbell we offer has a QR code/little box on it. Please be sure to check underneath the mount and all around it.

Hello,

I need to reconnect my set of 2 nest outdoor cameras to the Google Home app after a wifi restart. I no longer have the QR code for the nest cams. Can you please help me?

I am afraid that without the QR code, you cannot set up the device properly. Do you have the original packaging? That has the code on it as well.

There is a setup code printed on the device, and the Google Home app allows you to punch in a setup code instead of the QR code, however the app is still not registering my outdoor Nest cams. Do you know why that might be?

You still have the QR code on the back/inside of the device. Use that instead then if the install code you got isn't working.

QR code is on the back of the device where you plug in the power adapter. Try looking again.

It's a tiny sticker inside the back of the Nest thermostat right in the middle. You have to have it off it's mount to see it (if you've already installed it).

I am facing the same issue. No package and no QR code nor digital on the back of nest device. Any suggestions?

Seems nobody gets any answers here how to set up a camera with no barcode. The little sticker fell off the back of mine and after pluging it into the USB of my computer nothing happens. Poor service is why I am leaving Nest.
