Poor performance with Nest Aware

Ever since I was forced to upgrade to the new Nest Aware service, the performance has been abysmal.  For example, when someone rings the doorbell, even 10 minutes afterwards, I still don't get a video image of who is at the door.  I'm on a very strong wifi so that is not the problem.  This didn't use to happen with the less expensive gen1 service.

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Aware subscription hasn't been working as well since the upgrade. Help's here!

 

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

 

  • What type of Nest doorbell do you have?
  • What type of Nest Aware subscription do you have?
  • Do you have Nest cameras with the same inconvenience?
  • Are you able to check the camera's live feed?
  • Are you signed into the Nest app or Google Home app?
  • Did you migrate your Nest account to a Google account?
