You should be able to check your Nest Aware subscription(s) here: https://store.google.com/subscriptions?hl=en-US

For newer cameras, in the Google Home app, you should be able to select the Settings icon on the home page and select "Nest Aware" to see what plan is active for your "home". If you select a camera or doorbell and select Settings for the camera, and then select "Video", under "Video History" it should show the Nest Aware subscription that applies to that camera.

For older cameras, in the Google Nest app, you should be able to select the Settings icon on the home page and select "Nest Aware" to see what plan is active for your "home". If you select a camera or doorbell and select Settings for the camera, and then select "Nest Aware", it should show the Nest Aware subscription that applies to that camera.

If you have a Nest Aware subscription, you should be able to access history for newer cameras in the Google Home app by selecting the camera or doorbell and clicking on "History" near the bottom of the screen. For older cameras, if you select the camera in the Google Nest app you should see events listed below the live video feed, and if you turn your phone to landscape mode you should see a timeline on the right. For older cameras, you can also access history on the home.nest.com website; when you select the camera there should be a timeline at the bottom of the screen.

Not in any way.

Does nest aware only work in the nest app? If so want the $#@% did Google tell me to install the cameras via Google home? And are there 2 different freaking apps that do the same thing? Oh wait negative Google does not know how to connect smoke alarms to Google home.

I will ask my question again where is nest aware?!?!? It is not in the nest app and it is not in the Google home app

@crashton

If you have a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, it is NOT a separate app. Rather, it is a subscription service that provides access to history in the Google Nest app (for older cameras) or in the Google Home app (for newer cameras).  (Yes, it's dumb and annoying that Google Nest has one app for older cameras and other devices and a different one for newer cameras and other devices.)

If you have a Nest Aware subscription, it should be listed here: https://store.google.com/subscriptions?hl=en-US

You should be able to access history (provided by your Nest Aware subscription) for newer cameras in the Google Home app by selecting the camera or doorbell and clicking on "History" near the bottom of the screen. For older cameras, if you select the camera in the Google Nest app you should see events listed below the live video feed, and if you turn your phone or tablet to landscape mode you should see a timeline on the right. For older cameras, you can also access history on the home.nest.com website; when you select the camera there should be a timeline at the bottom of the screen.

Hey folks,

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://goo.gle/3A7x7ug web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Best Regards,

Brad
