unfamiliar face library

Bought a doorbell, cameras, flood camera and hub, also have pixel fold. so i am going all in on google products for easier integration..

1. How come i cant just use my google photos library for nest aware?

srsly the google photos lib is awesome, it combines pictures of people and even works great with my infant picking up his evolving face and knowing its him. i am constantly getting pinged with unfamiliar face and having to combine every angle of a person ( again 4 cameras + doorbell + hub ) so that's a ton of angles and messages.

2. Attached the nest hub to the wall, and its picking up every idiot it see's on TV.

is there a way exclude area's? I'd rather not re-mount the tv or the hub again.

Hey Flightdeck73,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. I understand your concern about getting a lot of notifications. We would recommend you to create an Activity Zone. By this, you may set up a zone where there’s activity that you don’t want to be bothered about, such as a window that overlooks a busy view, but get alerts for activity throughout the rest of the room.

Give these steps a try:

Home app

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap Favorites or Devices .
  3. Select your Nest Camera that you want to make an Activity Zone for.
  4. Tap More More menu Settings Events Seen Events.
  5. Choose + Add a zone. The new zone appears in the middle of the camera’s view.
  6. Change the shape of the zone to capture what you want.
  • Turn your phone to go into landscape mode for a full screen of your Nest Camera’s view. Make sure the screen rotation setting on your phone is on.
  • Tap and drag inside the zone to move it.
  • Tap and drag any of the 8 dots on the sides of the zone to change its shape.
  1. To change the color of the Activity Zone, tap Zone color. You can pick from 4 different colors.
  2. Under your Nest Camera view, tap on the Zone name to give your zone a descriptive name.
  3. Under Event History, you can choose which types of events you want to record in that zone and which notifications you want to receive.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Emerson
