My downstairs Neat Protect has been giving a carbon monoxide sensor failure alert every day for the past week. It says to replace the Nest Protect. It’s just over 2 years old and all systems checks come back as “everything’s ok”. Is there a way to fox this issue without having to replace is completely? What are my options? This issue was posted before but without clear is answers. Only with general
FAQ reference. This sensor is only 3 years old…

Hello folks,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community and for sharing with us the steps you've done. Let's see what we can do here. To confirm, how many Nest Protects do you have? To further isolate this issue and If you have more than one Nest Protect, try swapping it to your other Nest Protects to see if it’s still giving you the same alert. In case it's only happening to that Nest Protect, we would suggest you to reset it to the factory default. Remember that after the reset all the history will get removed as well. Then, check its behavior and give us your feedback here.
Regards,
Emerson

I will try the above suggestion to see if it works. I was away until today so I didn't get a chance to try it.
