Nest Protect - Cannot Connect Family Members

kimberlypek

I recently had to switch my nest thermostat because the old one was broken. When I added, it made me migrate to a google home. This is where the headache begins. My husband and I both set up our devices separately. He has a paid account for Google Nest Hello... so we cannot switch that, but I set up at least 5 Google protects and the thermostat with my app. I tried to connect him, and he is endlessly brought to the app with no connection. The Google Nest app for protect brings me to the Google Home app to add him... and they are not even in the Google Home app... so now, my husband cannot see our Google protects and I cannot see our doorbell. thank god for Alexa because it is the only way that we can see our thermostat at same time. Please help!

Do you have separate accounts and have them set up on those separate accounts?

You can not share devices between separate accounts. You can only share devices when you have someone set up as the primary account and then invite others to join that account via the Google Home App.
