Building a house and the hvac wires are ran to a location where the thermostat is not convenient for me.
I would like to install the nest learning thermostat there bc that's where the wires are but then put a second nest thermostat in a better location for me. But this second one won't be wired. Can this be done?
So basically the second one just uses its batteries and the internet to sync to the first one to change the temperature in the house.

Hello Jessicabachus,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I'd love to help you with this.
It is possible to achieve what you're looking for, but there are a few considerations to keep in mind. The Nest Learning Thermostat relies on a wired connection for power and HVAC control. However, you can install a Nest Temperature Sensor in a more convenient location without the wires if you're willing to make a few adjustments.
You can set up the Nest Temperature Sensor. While it won't directly control your HVAC system, it can send temperature and occupancy data to the primary Nest Thermostat. The primary thermostat, which is wired to your HVAC system, will then make adjustments based on the data received from the remote sensor.
Please check out the Nest Temperature Sensor article to learn more about how it works, and let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Mark
