2nd Gen Nest heat link not working

PeterY

Hi,

My nest heat link has stopped working. Tried all reset options.  The white box appears to have gone dead like other customers. Unfortunately outside my 2 year warranty but clearly there is a product issue here as all customers in other forums have the same issue. Can you inform me if I can get a replacement or a technician out please as now without heating as can no longer manually turn on heating after this installation.

I have the same issue.. went wrong last night. Called an electrician out who confirmed everything else works fine and that the box needs replacing.

Hi

Mine too. I have 2 of these for various zones of the house.  I had an engineer come out yesterday (4/10) he informed me that he is really busy changing them at the minute. He claims its an common fault. Tried contacting google for a replacement...I would be quicker to rip it all out and change to a honeywell. Google are shocking...finally spoke to someone and was told I would be emailed today...not holding my breath.

Hello @PeterY and @SeanWitham,

Thanks for reaching out. I'll do my best to get this sorted for you as soon as possible.

Here are some helpful troubleshooting steps:

Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs

Could you also help me with some answers to these questions?

How long has your thermostat been installed for?
Did the issue happen during the installation?
Is there any error on the Nest thermostat display?
Have you had any power cuts recently?
Have you had any work done on your electrical or heating systems recently?
If yes, was the power properly restored at the fuse board after work was done?
How many zones are present in the setup?

Regards,
Cristian

I was able to get a replacement for the faulty heat link box from google. The new one works fine, no other components required replacing.
