I currently have the 2nd Generation Nest learning Thermostat, I can setup a Fan schedule to run the fan 15 up to 60 minutes minutes every hour on the hour. Since Google has dropped support for it and app control, I am forced to purchase a new one. I have decided on the Nest Thermostat based on price. I went to the store and tried the features in demo mode and there is no fan Schedule . It only has run fan from 15 minutes up to 12 hours. Is this feature not being offered on new nest Thermostats? Thanks

Hi Panabrite,
Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that you had to upgrade your thermostat due to the support changes, and I know that this situation could be inconvenient as you had to purchase a new device. Now that you've decided on the new Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen), you're wondering if it has the 'Fan Schedule' feature that allows the fan to run for a specific amount of time every hour, because you only saw a manual run time setting in the store demo. No worries, I can definitely help you with this!
Depending on the thermostat model, some features are only available in the Google Home app. Since you mentioned seeing the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) demo in the store, it's important to know that the fan schedule feature is not accessible on the thermostat itself for this model. Currently, this option is only visible on the physical devices for the Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen) and the Nest Thermostat E models.
To find the fan schedule feature for the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen), you need to go to the Google Home app. In the Schedule section, you will see options for both temperature and fan. For more details, please refer to the following article: Fan control with a Nest thermostat.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Thanks for the late response and I feel like I am talking to AI . It would be a step backwards to purchase a 3 generation Thermostat, seeing how Google has dropped support for the 1st and 2 generation they will most likely drop the 3rd in the near future. To have the Physical option removed to setup a fan schedule on the 4th gen device, I cannot believe this feature has been removed, like the 2nd generation thermostat that was working fine and served our needs. Now will be removing it and recycling the thermostat as we cannot connect to it remotely anymore.. What a terrible shame . I will be purchasing the Ecobee premium as it has on screen fan schedules and air quality sensors for less money.
