Our 3rd generation thermostat won't hold a charge. It is plugged directly into the wall and after a few minutes it will turn on but only stay on for a minute or two before stating that it needs to turn off to charge. We had connectivity issues with it a few months ago that we couldn't resolve. We decided to try again and we're surprised that it did turn on but now we are having this issue. I have read elsewhere that the issue may be caused by the lacking of charging over the past few months. However it is only 3 years old so we would not expect these issues already.
I would appreciate any advice please.
Thanks

It seems the thermostat won't hold a charge following a connectivity situation you experienced a few months ago, and it only stays on for a minute or two before it needs to turn off and charge again.
