4th gen Nest thermostat auto eco is worst feature that you can't disable..

I've been using Nest thermostats for over 15 years. I just upgraded to the new 4th gen because my second-gen is going out of support. Now there is a feature called auto eco, which cannot be disabled on the 4th gen.. It is the most annoying feature because it constantly turns off your air conditioner because it thinks you're not home because your not moving around your place, when you're just sitting on your couch watching TV, or just hanging out in another room.. Please Google, please, update this to a setting that can be disabled. I'm seriously considering getting rid of my brand new thermostat and telling everyone I know not to upgrade their Nest because this setting is so bad. I should have full control of my climate system without the thermostat doing stuff on its own without me asking it to..

@Matt01 , I have not installed or configured a generation four yet, but I will be getting one in about a week or so. I’m curious to know can you change the actual temperature on the ecosystem side of the thermostat so you can set it to a higher temperature or cooler temperature depending on the season?

Hey, so just so you know. The 4th gen does not work with the nest application. Only works within the Google home app. But within the Google home app when you select the thermostat. You go under settings top right Cog. Then go to temperature presets. And then again temperature presets, there is a comfort, Eco, and sleep temperature range you can set for each of those. You can also set custom ones as well. The problem that I have is it likes to go into what's called Auto Eco which then refers to what you set as your Eco temperatures. And if the thermostat thinks you're not home because you haven't been moving around for a while. It will revert to that Eco setting. And there's no way to disable that. Otherwise. It's a fantastic thermostat like nest have always been. But I find the auto Eco to be extremely annoying..
