Dear community,

I am looking for help for my recently installed Nest Thermostat, which I upgraded from White-Rodgers 1F80-261.

I have connected all the wires as shown or suggested in the app, and heating works fine after installing Nest Thermostat. however, AC breaker does not turn UP and trips on trying.

I am attaching the wiring details here: ThermoStat Issue.png

Please help.

Thank You.

Hi guddu478

I’m happy to assist you with your thermostat and thank you for your provide me this information, Here are some steps you can perform to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Double-check the wire connections: Make sure all the wires are securely fastened to the terminals on both the Nest thermostat and your HVAC system.
  • Perform a factory reset: Try to set up again your thermostat, if you don’t know how to do it consult this article.
  • Make sure the thermostat is detecting the complete wiring configuration: Go to your thermostat and choose the option  settings > equipment > wiring info, and take a look if the thermostat is detecting all the wires.

Best regards,

Daniel
