Hello, I am happy with how our Nest controls our living room temerature when we are at home, but we have just returned from 10 days of vacation, and the Nest functioned fine sensing we were not at home allowing the temperature to rise to 83. However, when we got home, it said it would take 90 minutes to return the living room to 76 degrees. I would like to know how to manually override the settings via the app a few hours before our arrival. I have seen posts about setting up a schedule (which I think defeats some of the intelligent controls of Nest) and about adjusting temperature, but I cannot find a way to remotely tell the Nest to go back normal operation before our return home. Can someone please advise?
Thanks

Hello patdedub,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum.
This is most likely related to the Home and Away Assist or Routines. It might be very tricky, as you may also consider the Presence Sensing feature. Please take a closer look at this article and let us know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark, thanks for responding and for following up. I did go into the Away Assist Routines and made some changes, including connecting my phone so as it can track when I am coming home. We'll see how that works!! Thanks again

Hi folks,
@patdedub, thanks for keeping us in the loop. We want to make sure that everything will be taken care of while you observe your Nest Thermostat after making some changes as a part of the resolution. I’ll keep this thread open and wait for your update.
I appreciate your help here, Mark.
