Ambient room temp is wrong, too high

sebastianl

Have had my nest for a few months. Yesterday out of the blue the ambient air temp on the thermostat is reading 85*F I have a stand alone thermometer two feet away thay said at the time it was 68*F. I tried reset, factory reset, changing batteries and taping up the hole the wires come out of. I have to set the heat in the house to 87*F just to get the heat to come on. What can I do?
