Anybody found a way to register a warranty claim?

I, like many other, have a Google Nest thermostat that has failed within the warranty period. As has been the main theme of this blog, the means to gain any satisfactory communication with Google to effect a legitimate warranty seems impossible.

Every means of trying to communicate with Google, be it via webforms to chats, all end in errors and failures, The fact that these "issues" have been clearly highlight for a long time (over 6 months) would indicate that there is a conscious effort to sidestep warranty claims. from a company that is hardly short of funds.

That said, if someone can educate me as to how I can actually gain access to a human who can effect a warranty claim I will gladly eat my words and offer a suitable testimonial.

Same issue here. I cannot get the warranty web form to work. Tried submitting the form in both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and get "Refresh this page and try again. Sorry, there was a problem with the form." I used the warranty checker to make sure it's under warranty and it is covered through June/2023. I have no idea how to submit a claim if their tools are broken.

Hello folks,

Thank you for letting us know about the broken form, we'll look into it.

Could you provide us more details about why you're opting to have your thermostats replaced? What specific type of Nest Thermostat is this? Also, could you provide us a rundown of all the steps you've tried?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark ,

I find it very surprising that you are not aware of the broken form as it has been repeatedly mentioned on this forum for well over 6 months.

As for the the reason for the requesting a replacement, the unit has suffered a wifi failure, i.e after a year of working it suddenly cannot see a network, whereas all my other thermostats in the house do, not matter where it is placed. Like everyone else, the unit has been factory reset many times but this does not resolve the issue, and those people who have been able to contact tech support with the same symptoms, have been told that the unit has failed and needs to be returned under warranty.

The unit was confirmed as being under warranty via your online checking. What more do you need to effect a warranty replacement?

Sorry the model is a Nest Learning Thermostat

I'm sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you with your thermostat that couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi network. In the meantime, we'd still like to help you with your Nest Thermostat warranty claim. Please fill out this form with the details and let me know once it's done.

Thanks,
