App not controlling my thermostat

I can’t control the temperature from my phone but when I use thermostat the new temperature then shows on my phone! So there’s communication from thermostat to phone but not phone to thermostat! Help please

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum, and I'm sorry to hear that you can't control your thermostat on the app. Let's sort this out. 

Make sure that your phone is connected to the internet and is receiving a strong enough signal for you to control your thermostat through the app. Try to restart your phone, and then check if you'll be able to control your thermostat through the app after that. If the same thing still happens, sign out of the app, then sign in again. You may also try to uninstall and reinstall the app.
