I recently moved into a new house and the previous owner had installed the google nest and it’s so confusing!!!
I removed all the preset times on the hot water but the icon on the app is orange and says ON.
We initially thought it wasn’t wired properly as there was no power to the heat link. But recently discovered this was because we had turned the hot water system manually to a timer and it was only on when the hot water was set to be on. The hour before we get up (!) he thermostat also wasn’t set up to control the hot water and was set as a combi boiler but that was incorrect.
Anyway so now I have my hot water tank set to on all the time. Is this right? Why does my app think it is on when it’s not?
any hints of tips on set up would be greatly appreciated
