Bad Nest -Send in for Refurb?

Partykiller

After much troubleshooting, it turns out the Nest has gone bad.

Is there a program to turn it in for refurbishment for credit for a new Nest?

Hey Partykiller,

Sorry to hear abut your Nest thermostat and for the delayed response.

I'm afraid we don't have a program where you can send us your faulty thermostats in exchange for credits but we'll take this as feedback.

If I may ask, have you reached out to our support team and was informed after exhausting all troubleshooting steps that it has gone bad? Also, when and where was it bought?

Hey there,

Checking back in if you still need help with this.

I bought it a few years ago on Amazon and it has worked fine up until now. I have trouble shot everything. When I hook up my old dumb thermostat, it works fine. I have even replaced the control board on the HVAC unit. There is something wrong with the Nest software or hardware, maybe from the last update.  It’s disappointing that I can’t use it.

Hey Partykiller,

Understood and thanks for these added details. Do you recall if how many years ago was it bought from Amazon? Also, what specific Nest thermostat is this?

Melba
