Battery

My nest 3rd generation battery is bad. Won't even hold a charge for more than a day. My house keeps getting close to 90 due to it losing power while we are not home. I need help!! How do we find a replacement battery or is there a warranty on these?  Help!!

How old is you thermostat?

No, There is no replacement battery.

Does it have a C wire installed?

You need to install a C wire. Check to see if there is a spare wire at the thermostat, if not you can use the Nest Power Connector.

The C wire is what keeps the thermostat powered up, without it the Nest will try and steal power using the fan or cooling terminals which doesn't always work very well.

Hey folks,

Thanks again for responding, Patrick_Caezza.

Aprilwest, I know it's been a while but I wanted to ensure that everything is good here. Have you had the chance to add a C wire or a Nest Power Connector to your HVAC system and Nest thermostat as suggested above?
