I've got a traditional thermostat controlling an Air Conditioning system and completely separate high-efficiency boiler heating system. I'd like to replace the thermostat with a Nest, during setup the Google Home app tells me it's incompatible, which seems wrong to me.
The Heating is connected to W,R and Y(blue wire, not sure why). The AC is connected to Y,G,Rc and C(brown, my understanding it's the thermostat 24V power, says optional with batteries).
Here is the pics of the current wiring.
Any insights are greatly appreciated!

Hi Samyak,

Thanks for reaching out Manuel!
I think I figured it out.
It's a Nest thermostat. Not sure why it's not clearly stated that it doesn't support independent dual cooling and heating systems.
The learning one does, but even Ecobee lite supports it.
No jumping wire between Rc and R.
It's a single fuel system.

Hi Samyak,
Thanks for your reply! Since your system has RC and R without a jumper, it means your system is dual fuel. Unfortunately, your current Nest thermostat isn't compatible with dual fuel systems. You'll need a Nest Learning Thermostat.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Regards,
Manuel
