Can a Nest learning thermostat control BOTH a heating and cooling mini split system AND an electric radiant flooring system at the same time? I have the required relay box needed for the electric heated floor mats which says it can connect to the Nest Learning. I also have a wireless connection dongle from the mini-split that heats and cools the air, also says it works with Nest Learning.
My question is, can I control them both on the same thermostat and how would that work?
I understand the radiant feature, if the floors are set to 70 degrees at 8am, they will start earlier. What happens to heat from the mini-split? Does the thermostat control mini split to automatically bring the air temp up at the time, or if I make an adjustment? I want to use both heat sources.
Does it need to be separately controlled with 2 thermostats for the same room?
@macklarenhad a similar post with no real answer, anyone able to help?

Hi 00000008,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay. I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring? Also, you could try our compatibility checker to see if your current system is compatible with the Nest Thermostat.
Thanks,
Mel

Hi there,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Thanks for assisting, Mel.
@00000008, your radiator would be your default heating unit. Yes, it is possible to use Nest to control your mini-split system. However, it's not a simple solution to control them both. Setting up a Nest Thermostat with mini split control will require a professional, and you may also lose some functionality.
Let us know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Mark
