My 3rd Generation Nest wasn't heating the water as per the schedule I had set up.
I sought help here and tried everything suggested.
The last suggestion was to do a full factory reset, now the Nest won't connect to the Heat Link.
It is so frustrating - Now I don't have any kind of timer for heat or water.
This equipment is expensive, but it is failing to work as it was advertised.
I'm at a total loss as to what to do now.
Should I simply replace it with a more reliable system, despite the cost?
I should probably seek compensation if I do as the product it faulty, an does not work in practice as described in advertising.

Couple of questions to start of with...
Did you buy the thermostat new, and not had any part of the system changed over, ie: new display or heat link?
Reason being, if new it's a matched pair, but if a new part has been changed it has to pair another way.
How far do you get with the set-up?
Do you get a message saying H71?

Thank you for reply, but I had worked that out and gotten sorted before your response came through.
Fingers crossed it will sort out the problem I had with my water not heating as per the schedule I set.

Despite the full factory reset, the water is still not heating as per the schedule I set up.

Could you please send me a screenshot with your current hot water schedule? Also, from the hot water control page in the Nest App, please tap on the cough wheel symbol in the upper right corner and take a screenshot of all the settings you have there.
