Whenever rush hour rewards kicks in it changes my temperature from 73 to 80. When I try to turn down the temperature it says that my temperature will adjust in 2 hours 17 minutes. Why can't I change my temperature durin Rush Hour Rewards like the program says I can?

Thanks for your help with this issue, it's been very frustrating to me. My research shows that I've been doing everything correctly with my Nest. I've got two of them in my home on 2 seperate air conditioners and don't have a problem with one of them. So I called my HVAC guy and they did an analysis on my entire HVAC unit and found that the blower motor was pulling very high amps and therefore couldn't run normally so the air wasn't being moved like it is supposed to. $14,000 later and I should be fixed this week.
Thanks.

Hi martingrobbins,
If you’ve signed up for our Rush Hour Rewards program, your Google Nest thermostat automatically adjusts your heating or cooling schedule and temperatures during an energy Rush Hour.
You could simply change the temperature on your thermostat to stop participating in the Rush Hour event. You’ll stay enrolled in Rush Hour Rewards, and your thermostat will participate in the next Rush Hour event. If you repeatedly stop participation in the events, you may lose out on some program incentives depending on your energy provider’s participation requirements.

Thanks,

I wish it worked like that. My original post stated that it doesn't. My temperature doesn't begin to cool until hours later and climbs in the 80's until then. Per your instructions I simply changed the temperature...no effect.

Hi martingrobbins,
Thanks for the response. Are you only getting this "delayed" message during rush hour? This message could be a symptom of a power issue and you might need to install a C wire or the Nest Power Connector to help deliver consistent power to the thermostat.
Thanks,
Edward
