I am enrolled in my electric company's "Smart Hours" program which on hot days allows them to adjust my thermostat. The last two days when they did that, the thermostat also changed on the following days. I assume this is due to the Automatic Scheduling Changes option. I went to the temperature preferences section of the Settings, but when I select that option it does not give me the anility to turn it off. It merely gives a description of the option. How do I turn it off?

Are you with Alliant Energy? They call it "smart hours" but it's powered by Nest's Rush Hour Rewards feature. You can't turn it off and on in the app unfortunately, your options are to either be enrolled or not be enrolled. To unenroll, you need to contact the Google Nest support team as I described above.

Are you referring to Rush Hour Rewards? If you’re currently enrolled in Rush Hour Rewards and you want to unenroll, you need to get in touch with the support team by visiting the Google Nest Contact Us page. Once you unenroll, your thermostat will no longer participate in Rush Hour events.

It's a program which is probably similar to a "Rush Hour Rewards" but my electric provider calls it "Smart Hours". I really do not want to unenroll in the program. The problem is not that the setting changes during one of those periods. It is that it continues on changing to the new settings the next day at the same time even though it is not a "Smart Hours" event. My guess is that the thermostat has done an "Automatic Scheduling Change". My problem is that when I use the app, it shows that option is on and I am unable to turn it off. When I select the option in the settings, all it does it tell me what the option is and there is no indication of how I can turn it off.

I am having exactly the same problem: when I open up The automatic scheduling option in the Google Home app for my Nest, It only offers a description without any options to select.
What's frustrating is that up until a week ago, I wasn't having this issue. But I had to replace my Wi-Fi router recently, and because I had to change my password, it forced me to remove and re-add the thermostat.
I also saw instructions to use the nest app first, but trying to add my thermostat to that, the app tells me I have to use Google Home instead. Pretty frustrating.

Same issues here. Forced to use the Google Home app by the Nest app, cannot turn off automatic schedule changes, I have already unenrolled from rush hour events but they are still changing my temperature anyway, and if I try to open "schedules" in the app it goes back to the home screen or the app shuts down. I don't want this thermostat anymore. This is ridiculous.

Same. I'm not enrolled in any programs, but I still have the same problem: Blank page under "Automatic Schedule Changes" even when their official documentation states there should be options.
