Can you add time slots to the sensor schedule?

I just set up my nest. I'd like to program it to use a remote sensor from 2-4pm and then from 830pm-730am and then the rest of the time to use the thermostat itself.

I see a few options such as the program mode and schedule however  not sure exactly what to do?

Thanks for any assistance that can be offered. So far I'm very excited to finally have this much needed upgrade!

Hey IntricateTrees,

Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

You can set a schedule to have your thermostat use a different sensor at different times of the day. For each thermostat, you can select which temperature sensor you want to use in the Morning, at Midday, in the Evening, and at Night.

Check out this link to learn more.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Regards,

Ryan

Unfortunately only having 4 timeslots is inadequate. They are too broad and do not offer enough control over when and where. Is there a way to assign sensor usage that offers more precise times?

Totally agree inadequate! At a minimum, the 4 times 'zones' should be sliders where is/the user can adjust to our living conditions, time of year, height of sun(season) and many other factors let alone personal schedules don't always match big G's....

From Nest; Here are what the times mean:

Morning: 7 AM to 11 AM
Midday: 11 AM to 4 PM
Evening: 4 PM to 9 PM
Night: 9 PM to 7 AM

These times are hard coded and it's extremely disappointing that there's no easy way to modify as needed on our end..
