Cannot add Gen 1.3-10 Nest thermostats to Google Home

I had them on my iPhone 12.  I recently upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro Max.  My thermostats were gone.  

I have tried to add them in the Google Home App and it tells me I need to do it in the Nest App.  I go to Nest and it tells me I need to add them in Google Home???  Should I just change them out for the 4th gen Nest?

When you changed phones, did you install the Nest App and log in to it using the same account as you used on the old phone?
