I've used this thermostat on this device for a number of years with no issue.
When I log into the Nest app on my phone with my migrated google account I'm shown the permissions screen "Nest wants to access your Google account". I allow, and am taken to the Home Setup screen. I go through the set up process, decline the emails, decline automatic home/away sensing and receive the error page which says "There was a problem while connecting to the Nest service". Service status page says everything is OK. I've tried logging out and back in, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, clearing cache and data, making Chrome my default browser and still can't log into the app. The app is up to date.
I tried to add the thermostat directly in Home, when it asks for the last 4 digits of the s/n there's no input option available so I have to quit.
I've tried logging in at home.nest.com and have to go through the same Home Setup process as with the app.
I've repeated the above many, many times and still have no access to the app, and therefore my thermostat.
What else can I do?
