Change of Thermastat owner.

We have just bought a house with an existing Nest system.  How do I change the ownership and connect the device to a new internet  provider please?  The heating / boiler has turned itself off and the house is freezing!

You need to do a reset on the nest go to settings and scroll to reset.

It's like a new reinstall procedure.

Then use the app to finish adding it to your WiFi etc.

Thank you.  So I guess the previous owner has to have deleted the property from her Nest account first?

No that's what the factory reset is for it reboots and then you can add it to your account and WiFi it's like erased from the old account. App will ask for you to remove the nest and scan the barcode on the back then it should work.
