Can someone tell me if the new gen 4 thermostat allows the temperature changes to move in increments of "0.5" degrees?  I'm talking about Fahrenheit.

Thanks

Hi EmptyNester,

Thank you for posting here in the community. I understand that you want to check if the Nest Learning Thermostat 4th Generation will allow you to make temperature changes of 0.5 degrees (Fahrenheit). No need to worry, help is here.

As of now, the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) does not allow for temperature changes in increments of 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit. The minimum increment is 1 degree.

This means you can adjust the temperature directly from the thermostat or the Google Home app but it will not allow you to make changes in the amount requested.

  1. Turn the thermostat ring: Simply turn the ring to adjust the temperature.
  2. Use the Google Home app: In the app, you can manually adjust the temperature and see the schedule.
